The MIMS was the first medical centre in Kerala to perform cochlear transplant. Together, the staff of MIMS have bought the skills needed to facilitate the hearing impaired within arm’s reach. Around 600 hearing challenged have today gained the front stage of their lives. MIMS doctors who have done cochlear implant were trained at the Bionic Ear Institute in Melbourne, Australia. One of the major achievements of MIMS was the cochlear implant surgery conducted on a 10-month-old child.

The other speciality treatments that MIMS offers are beating heart surgery, Nuclear Medicine Department, all kinds of heart surgeries and a state of the art ‘hospital-on-wheels’ ambulance facility.
